Financial Management Course @ Online

Designed for entrepreneurs and managers of MBE certified firms, this finance and accounting workshop will improve a firm’s ability to make executive decisions by better understanding their financial position. This event is presented in partnership with the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business and is an exclusive event. Certified MBEs may register below and the NWMMSDC will confirm your registration.

This course will be led by Christina Nichols of the UW Foster School of Business. Christina holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Marketing from Texas A&M University and is a certified CPA. She has been teaching at UW since 2016, where she specializes in financial accounting.


• Understand financial position and health of an organization

• Create financial projections to make involvement and growth decisions

• Assess individual projects to improve management skills and make quicker decisions


Morning Session – Financial Accounting (8AM TO 11AM): Understand an organization’s financial statements for a specific period. Learn ratio analysis, trends, and cost projections to make business decisions.

Mid-Day Break 11AM TO 1PM

Afternoon Session – Managerial Accounting (1PM TO 4PM): Creating budgets, evaluate variances, allocate costs across segments, and analyze changes to costs and profits.
