As I am concluding my first year as President and CEO of the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council, I am honored to reflect on all we have achieved together in 2024. This year has been a year full of challenges, strengthened partnerships, and resilience, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead this incredible organization alongside such a passionate and dedicated network.

This past year has underscored the power of our community to drive real impact. With 435 Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) certified in our region, of which 91 certified in the year of 2024, and our 54 corporate members supporting our mission, we have built a resilient foundation to advance economic opportunities for minority suppliers across the Pacific Mountain region.

From creating new pathways for minority-owned businesses to propelling diversity and inclusion across 19 industries, our collective work continues to stride towards economic empowerment. Every milestone we’ve achieved is a testament to your unwavering commitment and collaboration, which have been vital to our success.

As we look forward to 2025, our mission remains clear: to continue advocating for equity, creating pathways for minority business enterprises, and strengthening the connections that empower us all. Together, we will embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead with a shared purpose of fostering a thriving, diverse economy.

Karla MalaconThank you for your unwavering support, your belief in our mission, and your partnership in this journey. Here’s to another year of growth, possibility, and collective progress.

With sincere gratitude,

Karla Malacon
