April 1 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Sound Transit commissioned BBC Research & Consulting (BBC) to conduct a disparity study to measure the participation and availability of small, local, person of color- (POC-), woman-, veteran-, and LGBTQ-owned businesses in its contracts and procurements and provide recommendations for Sound Transit to improve its implementation of the Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. BBC is a 55-year-old economic and diversity research firm based in Denver, Colorado and has conducted more than 150 disparity studies for cities, states, and other organizations across the country. As part of the disparity study, BBC conducts extensive outreach with local businesses, trade organizations, chambers of commerce, and other key stakeholders.
